The register, prepared

Everything on this site is free to read. What is sold is the work of turning 89,198 appointment rows into one row per adviser, with the whole career attached, and keeping the difference between one collection and the next.

The pages of this site are free and will stay free : an official fact belongs to no one. What is sold here is the compilation work — extracting ASIC's Financial Advisers Register, reconciling it, dating it, and delivering it in a usable form.

What is worth buying is the flow, not the stock

The register publishes today's position. What it does not publish is what changed — an authorisation ceased, an adviser moved licensee, a disciplinary action appeared. Each publication replaces the last.

We keep every collection. From the first, on 2026-08-19, each is compared with the previous and the differences kept. On a register where only 35.8% of advisers are currently authorised, the transitions are the interesting part.

⚠️ We publish no monthly rate of new advisers. The file carries appointment dates, not register-entry dates — inferring a rate from them would be an inference, not a measurement.

The 8 fields marked ⚠️ do not exist in the source : we add them — a join, a normalisation, or a reconstructed history. That is the part a buyer cannot reproduce by downloading the official file.

The marked fields are the reason to buy rather than fetch. The source ships one row per adviser per appointment — 89,198 rows for 42,341 advisers, one of them with seventeen — so every count over the raw file is wrong. And the whole career, which is the interesting part, only exists once the rows are joined.

What is not in this dataset: the 43 product flags. They look like what an adviser may advise on, but all forty-three carry exactly the same count — they are the licensee's authorisations copied onto each row, not the person's. Selling them as adviser competencies would be a false statement about a named professional.

And no name matching against the banned list. We deliver the banned and disqualified register as its own table, unjoined.
