What you can type

• A name — the surname alone is usually enough. Names are recorded as ASIC records them.
• An adviser number — the digits, as shown on the register.

Your search never reaches a server. It lives in the part of the address after the #, which browsers do not transmit, and the lookup runs in your browser against static index files.

An important limit. Advisers banned before 31 March 2015 who never returned to the industry are not on this register at all. They are on ASIC's banned and disqualified list, which we publish separately — and which we deliberately do not match against adviser names, because a namesake would be accused of something they did not do.
